It has many fine little interactive inserts, letters, and maps to look through, and the details will amaze you. It is a work of art and extremely fun to read.The author, Christie Golden, is known for writing tie-in novels for many fandoms including Star Wars, Star Trek, World of Warcraft, as well an impressive collection of her own original fiction, but this book goes beyond "novel" and approaches "experience." This is an absolutely amazing book! It's quite thick with outstanding sketches. The cover of the book is absolutely beautiful with the designs being raised. Inside the book is fairly interactive with two cards, decrees, and even a wanted poster. At the end of the book you get to read a little note from Blackbeard's personal chronicler.

Amazing book! Corners are a bit damaged and mashed in from shipping but Iâ€™m not too worried about. Itâ€™s really cool and the price is great too.

Great book if your a fan of assassins creed series

Full disclosure: I am a personal friend (over 20 years) of author Christie Golden.Having said that, this is an excellent narrative tie-in to the Assassin's Creed mythos. The text has a fantastic flavor of the period, and draws the reader in, whether for short visits or a cover-to-cover marathon.

This is one of the best fluff items to come along with a video game, the concept, art and detail are amazing. Worth every penny.

Although it is fiction, even if you are not a fan of the game, it has the real look and feel of a journal, Worth the money!

This book is absolutely stunning. I bought it for my husbands birthday and we're both really happy with it. It's set up as the diary of the pirate Blackbeard with diary entries on 'aged' paper. There's also drawings, secret messages, wanted posters, treasure maps etc. It includes details of Edward kenway from Black Flag so it's interesting for fans of the assassins creed game but I would say it's a good buy for people who are just interested in pirates. Even if you don't read it the pages are nice enough to just thumb through.

10/10 book. Very High quality and a must have specially if fan of either pirates or Assassin's Creed saga. Well made as a journal written by Edward Tatch aka Blackbeard himself providing so much info regarding pirates/privateers and their habits. Definitely trust worthy purchase that will be nothing but of a delightful experience and good add-on to your library.
